What makes our CHE AC Laminated Solenoid unique

Our AC laminated solenoids are manufactured using a proprietary roll-forming process developed in-house, ensuring a uniform and dense laminated structure that meets Class B insulation standards. Each unit is then treated with a special glass-based heat-resistant coating, bringing its performance up to Class A insulation requirements. This combination of advanced engineering techniques and materials science results in electromagnets with exceptional durability under demanding conditions, including high temperatures, humid environments, and mechanical stress, thus demonstrating high reliability in various industrial applications.

AC laminated solenoid structure

The image beside illustrates the typical structure of our dry-type piston motor. The coil is inserted into the fixed iron core, driving the moving iron core inside. When energized, a magnetic field is generated at the center of the coil. This magnetic field attracts the moving iron core to the position of the fixed iron core and attaches it to it, thus driving the external machinery. In this case, the force is attractive. It is precisely this attractive force that enables the motor to achieve automation and energy-saving functions.

CHE's Ac laminated solenoid have two main operating modes: push-pull and pull.

Pull type:

The piston in the torso can pull when energized, hence the name “pull-type”.

Push-pull type:

When the piston in the torso is energized, it generates a pulling force while simultaneously squeezing in the opposite direction (stopping rubber), thus having both pulling and squeezing effects, so it is called a push-pull type.

Establish a professional factory

Our factory was established in 1983 and is located in Liushi Town, Yueqing City (Wenzhou City). We specialize in producing various solenoids, such rotary solenoids, push-pull solenoids, tubular solenoids, frame-type solenoids, and lift-holding solenoids. We were the first factory in mainland China to produce SA AC Laminated Solenoids

.

Your professional AC laminated solenoid supplier

We specialize in producing AC laminated solenoid. With nearly 40 years of professional manufacturing experience, our ac laminated solenoids are characterized by high efficiency, low loss, and long lifespan, making us a reliable supplier you can trust.

Selection Tips:

  • Small, light-duty applications ( access control systems, miniature valves): SA-3501/3502 is a good choice, with a power of approximately 30N and a stroke of 20mm.
  • Medium-sized general-purpose applications ( printing presses, packaging machines): SA-3601/3602 is a good choice, with a power of 30N and a stroke of 20mm, moderate and suitable for most working conditions.
  • Large, heavy-duty applications ( hydraulic presses, heavy-duty bending machines): SA-3701/3702 is a good choice, with a power of 50N and stronger thrust.
  • Ultimately, the selection should be based on your specific needs and parameters. You can also provide your existing parameters, and I will recommend a model for you based on those parameters.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between AC and DC solenoid?

A: Core Structure: AC solenoid require laminated cores, while DC solenoid valves typically use solid soft iron cores.

Power Supply: They are designed for different power supplies. Using an AC solenoid with a DC power supply (or vice versa) will result in malfunction or damage.

Q2: What does “duty cycle” mean?

A: Duty cycle refers to the percentage of the maximum recommended “on time” out of the total cycle time (on + off). Common ratings include continuous (100%), intermittent (e.g., 25%, 50%), and instantaneous.

Q3: Why does my AC solenoid get hot even when it’s working normally?

A: Slight heating is normal for the following reasons: Current flowing through the wires generates heat, and there is core wear. As long as the temperature rise is within the manufacturer’s specifications (usually insulation limits A, B, F, or H) and does not exceed the duty cycle, it is considered normal operation.

Core Requirements

Movement: Is it a unidirectional (plunger extends when energized), unidirectional (plunger retracts), or bidirectional design?

Mounting: How to install? Consider housing style (tubular, rectangular), bracket type, and mounting direction.

Environmental Factors

Temperature Rise: Understand the permissible temperature rise range for the solenoid during your operating cycle. Will it be installed in a sealed housing where heat can accumulate?

Environment: Will it be exposed to humid, dusty, chemical, or explosive environments? Specify the required protection rating (IP) (e.g., IP65 indicates dust and water resistance), or provide hazardous location certification if necessary.

Noise: AC solenoid themselves produce an audible hum (due to the alternating magnetic field). If noise is a concern, choose a model with a built-in light-shielding coil to minimize hum.

Physical Characteristics and Expected Life

Size and Weight: Does it fit within the space constraints of your equipment?

Connection Type: Preferred terminal type (lead wire, quick-connect, screw terminal). Plunger reset: Is spring reset (retracting or extending after power failure) required, or does it rely on gravity or external force?

Expected lifespan: Expressed in cycles (e.g., 1 million cycles). Match this to the required operating life of your equipment. High-cycle applications require durable construction and materials.

Based on your own application

In addition to the parameters and the three points mentioned above, the selection process also needs to be combined with the application, because only the customer fully understands the application of their equipment.

FAQ

Q1: Can a burnt-out coil be repaired?

A: While rewinding the coil is sometimes possible, it’s not cost-effective. For standard solenoid , it’s recommended to replace the entire coil assembly or the entire solenoid unit for greater reliability.

Q2:How to reduce the operating noise of ac laminated solenoid?

A: In order to reduce the noise, you can control the gap between the laminated frame and plunger to ensure a consistent average value and keep the surface of the laminated frame and plunger to be smooth and flush. Users are recommended to select the appropriate model based on their specific application to ensure proper selection and reduce operation at full load.

Q3: Can this solenoid be energized for extended periods?

A: To achieve extended energization, it needs to be used with a controller.

Q4:How long does it usually take to ship the order after it’s placed?

A:If no customization is involved, we can ship small orders within 5-7 days. For large orders, we need to confirm the delivery time with the production department.

Q5:Is it possible to customize the product packaging?

A:We support customized packaging, but there is usually a minimum order quantity requirement.

Q6:Does the product have magnetic properties?

A:The product itself is not magnetic; it only becomes magnetic when powered on.
